Introducing Kelly Sawden, the face behind Ascend Financial Management.

Kelly Sawden (BCom, LLB, CA)
Kelly is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent with 9 years post-qualification experience.

Kelly began her career as a Corporate Tax Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, a position she held for 4 years, providing complex tax advice and preparing tax returns for large corporate entities.

Kelly was also the Financial Controller for Queensland Airports Limited, a regional airport investment company which owns Gold Coast, Townsville and Mount Isa Airports, in addition to some related aviation-based businesses.  She has worked at Queensland Airports for 4 years during which time she managed the finance team consisting of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accountants, and Project Accountants.  During this time, Kelly also acted for a period as the General Manager Corporate Services, managing the finance, corporate governance and IT functions and staff.  More recently Kelly has worked on a part-time basis as the Group Tax Manager.
 
Kelly has assisted JC Epidemic Ltd, a non-profit extreme sports organisation, with the establishment of their corporate governance, risk management, and accounting processes, policies and procedures. 

Kelly currently contracts with Billabong International Limited as its International Tax Analyst, providing compliance and consulting focussing on both Australian and Global tax issues.
